Type 2 diabetes patients aiming to control their condition with a healthy diet face a big obstacle, new research reveals: high food prices.

A fresh analysis published in the American Journal of Public Health shows that as prices for healthy foods go up, so do blood sugar levels among people with diabetes. The finding comes from a close look at the results of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey
