(HealthDay News) — It’s best to spot bedbug infestation at the earliest opportunity, when it’s probably easier and less expensive to stop.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency offers these telltale signs:
- Stains that appear rusty or reddish on bed linens or a mattress.
- Actual bedbugs.
- Tiny eggshells, eggs or yellow-colored skins shed by bedbugs.
Bedbugs also may hide in areas such as seams or folds of furniture, cushions or curtains, drawer joints, loosely hung wall decorations or inside appliances.
