Health Tip: Pay Attention Behind the Wheel

(HealthDay News) — Talking on the phone, texting or focusing on a GPS device while driving is dangerous for you and any of your passengers.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers this advice:

  • Never text and drive.
  • Remain alert when driving. If you become sleepy or distracted, pull over.
  • If the driver in a car you are riding in is distracted, speak up.
  • Volunteer to promote safe driving in your community.
