As you’re jotting down what to bring on that upcoming camping trip, don’t forget to bring the essentials.
The Nemours Foundation suggests this checklist:
- A map of the camping site and a compass.
- A flashlight and additional batteries.
- Plenty of food.
- An additional set of clothing, and protective rain gear.
- Sunscreen and a pair of sunglasses.
- A pocket knife and folding saw.
- Matches in a waterproof case, and a candle or fire starter.
- Plenty of clean water to drink.
- Insect repellent.
