(HealthDay News) — Becoming parents can mean big changes in your lives, but it doesn’t mean your bond has to weaken as your relationship evolves.
The American Academy of Family Physicians recommends that couples:
- Share child care responsibilities as much as possible.
- Make time to be alone together, either out of the house or at home once the baby is asleep.
- Be sure to talk with your spouse about your emotions, and make every effort to work through them.
- It’s OK to disagree. But when you do, treat each other fairly and respectfully, listening to each other and avoiding blame.
