(HealthDay News) — Pain in the shoulder can impact most moves you make, so it’s important to identify the source and treat it.
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons offers these possible causes of shoulder pain:
- Bursitis, an inflammation of the small fluid-filled sacs in the shoulder joint.
- Tendinitis, an inflammation of tendons in the shoulder.
- A torn tendon.
- Impingement, pressure on the soft tissues in the shoulder applied by the top of the shoulder blade.
- A dislocation or fracture.
- Arthritis.
