(HealthDay News) — Meats are good source of complete protein, the University of Michigan Health System says. But eating meats loaded with fat can negate any of the nutritional benefits.
That’s why it’s important to choose leaner cuts, the health system says, citing these beneficial results:
- They’re loaded with complete protein.
- They’re rich in iron.
- They’re a good source of B vitamins, particularly B12.
- They contain less saturated fat than higher-fat cuts of meat.
