(HealthDay News) — Whole grains are fiber-rich, heart-healthy foods. But it may be a challenge to find good sources.
The American Diabetes Association cites these common whole-grain choices:
- Whole wheat flour, whole oats or whole oatmeal.
- Popcorn, whole grain corn or corn meal.
- Bulgur (cracked wheat), brown rice or wild rice.
- Whole grain barley or whole rye.
- Buckwheat or buckwheat flour.
- Quinoa, triticale, millet or sorghum.
