(HealthDay News) — Grief is the body’s natural response to a major loss, such as the death or illness of a loved one or the end of a relationship.
The American Academy of Family Physicians says it’s normal to express these emotions while grieving:
- Feelings of anger, irritability or blame.
- Frequent crying, depression or sadness.
- Nausea, diarrhea or lack of appetite.
- Rapid heartbeat or dizziness.
- Shortness of breath or a tight feeling in the chest.
- Insomnia, fatigue or problems with concentration and organization.
- Headache.
