(HealthDay News) — If you’re trying to lose weight, evaluate your environment to figure out how it affects your choices and habits.
The American Diabetes association advises:
- Consider whether you regularly eat in front of the TV, where you’re exposed to commercials tempting you with unhealthy food choices.
- Take a food inventory. Does what you buy support a healthy lifestyle?
- Look at your grocery list, and compare it to one that promotes healthy eating. Do they match up?
- Consider whether your environment outside of your home, at work and with friends is conducive to a healthy lifestyle.
