(HealthDay News) — Binge eating disorder means eating abnormally large amounts of food, eating extremely quickly and eating beyond the point of fullness.
The Womenshealth.gov website says the disorder can lead to significant weight gain, and these possible physical and mental side effects:
- Type 2 diabetes.
- Heart disease.
- High blood pressure.
- High cholesterol.
- Depression or anxiety.
- Increased stress.
- Difficulty sleeping.
- Poor self-esteem.
- Suicidal thoughts.
