Grades from the nation’s annual cancer report card.
Why women need to walk more and sit less.
Plus looking at sexting….and what entices teens do it.
First this week….good news Fewer Americans are dying of cancer.
That’s the headline from the nation’s annual report on the status of cancer.
Lung cancer rates are declining, even among women. The key reason is that many decided to quit smoking two decades ago…and the death rates are just now catching up.
Deaths from three other common types of cancer colon, breast, and prostate are also declining. In fact, the decreases in deaths from these cancers account for more than two-thirds of the overall reduction in cancer deaths since 2001.
Sadly, there have been increases in deaths for liver and pancreatic cancer in men and women. Uterine cancer is also up in women. And in men, melanoma, the deadliest kind of skin cancer, is an increasing problem.
Now to news about seniors…and why these women need to move more.
Researchers tracked more than 7-thousand women
