(HealthDay News) — A few rules from parents or guardians can help keep children safe while they get exercise and enjoy the great outdoors.
The extension.org website suggests:
- Never allow children to play outside without supervision.
- Explain to children that they should never play near a street or driveway.
- Teach children to ask an adult for help for any object that rolls into the street or driveway.
- Regularly inspect outdoor play areas, removing hazards such as sharp tools, lawn equipment, animal feces, sharp branches and trash.
