(HealthDay News) — Shoes that are too snug can cause some serious and painful problems, including bunions and corns.
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons says other potential problems from tight shoes include:
- Toes that cross over from lack of room.
- A curling hammertoe.
- An ingrown toenail that’s been pushed into the skin.
- Blisters or sores, which can be especially dangerous among people with diabetes.
