The American Academy of Family Physicians says certain foods can aggravate the condition, including:
- Dairy foods.
- Foods that are high in fiber, including vegetables and fruits.
- Drinks that are carbonated.
- Foods and drinks that contain caffeine.
- Alcoholic beverages.
