The Womenshealth.gov Web site says you should discuss with your doctor whether these suggestions to manage IBD may work for you:
- Stay away from fried or greasy foods.
- Restrict meats and creamy sauces.
- Take any vitamin or mineral supplements recommended by your doctor.
- Steer clear of spicy foods.
- Limit high-fiber foods such as nuts and raw vegetables or fruits.
- Eat small meals throughout the day.
