Health Tip: Manage Bunion Pain
By HealthCast on February 11, 2013

A bunion is a bump that forms on the joint at the base of the big toe. It can be quite painful, especially when you put on shoes or walk.
The American Podiatric Medical Association suggests how to manage bunion pain:
- Apply a non-medicated, over-the-counter bunion pad.
- Make sure your shoes have deep, wide toe boxes.
- Apply an ice pack several times a day to relieve swelling and pain.
- Don’t wear shoes with heels higher than 2 inches.
