If you tend to indulge in your favorite holiday treats, you may want to schedule some extra exercise to help offset those added calories.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers these holiday suggestions:
- Skip the elevator and take the stairs.
- Engage in active play with your pets, kids or grandkids.
- Enjoy a post-dinner walk with your family, even if it’s a short one.
- Do some chores around the home, such as vacuuming, sweeping or washing the windows.
