(HealthDay News) — Regular dental checkups may spot problems before they become serious, but there are signs you should visit your dentist sooner than your next scheduled exam.
The American Dental Association cites these warning signs:
- You have pain or swelling in the mouth, face or neck; jaw pain; or bleeding or swelling of the gums.
- It’s become difficult for you to chew or swallow.
- Your mouth is constantly dry.
- You notice sores or spots inside your mouth.
