(HealthDay News) — Arthritis in the joints of the hands can be painful and make many daily tasks difficult.
The American Academy of Orthopaedics says symptoms may include:
- Joint pain ranging from dull to burning. Pain tends to be worse after hand and finger use, and in the morning.
- Swelling of the joints.
- Sensations of grating, grinding or looseness of hand joints.
- Development of cysts on the hands and fingers.
