I’m Dr. Cindy Haines of HealthDay TV with this week’s discoveries and breakthroughs New evidence supporting the link between greater stress and a greater risk for headaches The apparent benefit of weight loss for sleep apnea patients And indications that many Americans turn to online physician reviews when choosing a doctor.First up a new survey supports the link between stress and headache risk.From 2010 to 2012, nearly 5200 people were polled 4 times a year for 2 years. Monthly tension-type headaches affected roughly a third, while 14% had migraines and nearly 11% had both. Rating stress levels on a 100-point scale…the investigators tagged a 10-digit rise in stress to about a 6% bump in tension headache frequency. Migraines and combo headaches rose roughly 4%… highlighting a connection between stress and headache risk.On the sleep front
