(HealthDay News) — A night terror is “a sudden reaction of fear” that occurs during sleep, usually in children, the Nemours Foundation says.
The foundation offers these suggestions to help minimize night terrors:
- Keep your child’s stress to a minimum.
- Create a predictable, relaxing bedtime routine and follow it every night.
- Help your child get plenty of rest.
- Don’t let your child stay up too late, as that can leave the child overtired.
